Three-Dimensional Breathing with Doris Pasteleur Hall
Dates: Sun 10/5/2008
Time:  10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Cost: $150.00

The goal of the workshop is to awaken three-dimensional breathing in the body and merge it into one's movement. We will begin by observing our own breathe without making any changes. As we learn, sense and move each of the primary and secondary muscles that support the breath we will witness how these changes affect the breath on each other and oneself.  Also, we will explore connecting three dimensions and movement: vertical, sagittal and horizontal and how it relates to  a sense of flow between the torso and the limbs (upper and lower.) Bring ideas and questions.

Testimonial

"Lesley Powell is the most thorough teacher for any level-she taught me more about pilates, observation and correction in the two days than I received in any of the many courses that I already have taken.

I love the manual, and the way the material is worded. It is very clear and Lesley made it very easy for us to apply it immediately. The material was perfect for me to go deeper in my practice, and for the new students they have a perfect foundation to start their teaching.

Lesley Powell is an icon, and a gem. I am honored to have the opportunity to work with her and at her studio Movements Afoot" -
