Association membership is slowly on the increase. Also the number of people we are in contact with is beginning to climb. We have begun to reap some benefit from a Facebook group I created "If you went to CCHS in St. Lambert, QC ...."  It is a slow and painful way to find people but is proving somewhat successful. At present there are 217 members in this group.

During September 73.4% of Members who were sent Alumni Connection opened the newsletter. Of these alumni 44.2% followed the red, underlined links to read more of an article and view additional photos.

Among non-association members the results were quite a bit less  46.9% opens, and 44.2% following the links.

This is one of the measures we use to determine your interests in various articles that appear in the newsletter.

This month we have begun a new series under "Where are they now..." featuring alumni from the far corners of the globe with interesting occupations. Thanks to Pat Nason C'73 for the initial installment.

I am sure there are many more alumni that should appear in our Who's Who. If you are not comfortable nominating someone then please email me a suggestion for follow up.

Someone sent in this great photo recently    unknown

but failed to identify themself and

where it was taken.

St. Lambert events of possible interest to alumni

Up for some Rock 'n Roll? The Cadillacs ( CCHS alumni) will be performing at St-Lambert United Church on October 15, 2011 tickets 25$ includes a full course meal (Boeuf Bourguignon) for tickets please call the church at 450 671-6003

 Only in Canada eh!

A man had two of the best tickets for the Stanley Cup Final. As he sits down,
another man comes along and asks if anyone is sitting in the seat next
to him..

"No", he says, "the seat is empty."

"This is incredible!" said the man, "who in their right mind would have
a seat like this for the Stanley Cup Final, the biggest sporting event of the
year, and not use it?"

He says, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. My wife was supposed
to come with me but she passed away. This is the first Cup Final we
haven't been to together since we got married."

"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. I guess you couldn't
find someone else, a friend or relative or even a neighbour to take the
seat?"

The man shakes his head... "No. They're all at the funeral."
