Editorial - Angus Cross
There was considerable positive response to our Angus July April newsletter, and we also set a new record for readership. Our meagre staff, composed of 3 ( 67+ old fellows ) do our best to bring you items of interest, and the best of photos we can find. Thanks to Harvey Carter for all the effort he put into locating the Rosevears (Teachers in the April Issue). He had no idea where they might be, or even if they were still alive. He checked school records, then he checked with the Regional School Board - all to no avail, and then using 411 assistance, got on the phone and started calling around until he found them in Knowlton, QC.

Were you both a student, and then later  a teacher at CCHS? Tell us your story by posting to the Forum
 You
will note below in this newsletter, that many alumni are continuing to join the association. This is very encouraging.  If you can not make it to Reunion 2010, please consider joining, or if you are in attendance and are not a member please look me up and sign on. Your  support will be much appreciated.

Reunion 2010 Registration Update

This is Heather Humphrey , class of 66.
I'm coming all the way from Brisbane/Sydney, Australia..if you stick a pin through the globe from Sydney, it comes out in Montreal..so coming half around the globe may encourage others near by to make the effort. We won't be around forever so I'm looking forward to connecting with my school pals I've known since Grade 1 in Chambly and Grade 8 in St. Lambert.
Even sleep-overs at the same house with the same girl-friend from high school days . How fortunate am I ?

I note that Viesturs Kalnins has signed up for the reunion.  I had contacted him a few weeks ago and he did sign up by mail because he does not have email. Also to sign up shortly, if not already,  are Mike Fulton and Carole (Wilcox) Charnutzky.
These three, plus David Smith and I,  will be getting together for dinner in downtown Montreal on Thursday night just before the CCHS reunion starts. - Taketo Murata C'54

After reading the memorial list -I thought this may be my last chance to
meet-up with some guys from high school years.
So . . . I have decided to attend the reunion. - Bill McLean C'60

Time

Registrations have been pouring in over the last month. Alumni from St. Lambert High through CCHS 1995, as well as many former teachers, have been received. Overall demographics indicate that 33% of attendees will be grads of the sixties, another 33% from the seventies, 21% from the fifties, 5% from former teachers and existing staff, and the remaining 8% from the eighties and nineties.

Reunion Registration  will close on Monday, May 10th.

Please use this   Registration Made Easy     link.

When you register for the reunion it will be indicated on your class page so your classmates will know you will be attending.

Reunion 2010 Update
When attending the reunion on Friday afternoon to sign in and pick up your registation Peter Gilbert - Bentley package you can expect to see some vintage cars either on display or touring around St. Lambert.
Pictured on right is a 1948 Bentley driven recently by Peter Gilbert and Larry Llewellyn, classmates from 1965

I met once again with the St. Lambert Historical Society regarding their participation in our reunion.  They will be doing a walking tour of the Village in downtown St. Lambert on Saturday, but we would like to have an idea how many might want to come for the walk.  They will schedule guides in consequence.  Could we please ask reunion attendees to indicate whether they will be participating in the walk?
They will have a table in the hall after the registration area and promote their books about St. Lambert, and would like ex-St. Lambertans to bring along their pictures of the town, which they will scan on site and return.  They have asked that people try to put a date on the back of the photos and a note about where they were taken and who are in the photos.  I think it's a great idea.

Jack Anderson - Co-Chair of the association.

We are still looking for people to sign up for the soft ball game on Saturday

Alumni Comments

Dear Bruce Field,
Thank you very much for following through on my request for a current picture of The Pit. WOW! Quite impressive, compared to the last time I was in the original Pit. It looks like my request came just in time, before it is torn down. I am happy though, that we now have a copy in our Alumni archives. During my time at The Pit dances, 1955-58 I believe Bill Roach & Derek Coughtry were D.J.'s &  our Police & Fire Chiefs volunteered as chaperons. Great memories.

Once a photographer always a  photographer, our Alumni is very lucky to have you Andy Little etc. & a few others.

All the best to you & your Family. Cheers, Carol(Bruce) Burr
