Our chamblycounty.com web site continues to grow in size and viewers. During the month of July we had 1,707 unique visitors to the site, from 46 countries, who made 2,630 visits, and viewed 9,879 pages. Today the site consists of 248 pages making it one of the largest high school sites in The World.

On the 6th. of August we commenced sending out invitations to register for Reunion 2010. The first to be invited were Life Members and those that joined the association in 2005. These early invites are for Reunion Passports ONLY, and involve member discounts.  Single event ticket sales will follow after all members of the association have had the opportunity to purchase Reunion Passports. Please print or save your invitation when it arrives in your mailbox and make note of the Category to which you are entitled.  Member invitations should be concluded by the end of August. We suggest you do not wait too long to register as we expect some events to reach capacity quite quickly.

You can go back again!

 Saint Lambert Revisited

For the majority of us, who went to CCHS, St. Lambert is a distant memory. It may have been 40, 50, or even 60 years ago, since we last walked down to the village. Some have gone back for a visit, or to attend the reunions in 1995, or 2005.  Now we are contemplating a visit next May. What can we expect? Has the town changed?

Are you coming to Reunion 2010, people want to know ?

When you register for the reunion it will be indicated on your class page so your classmates will know you are going.

Alumni Poll
Results of last month's poll of alumni email practices.

As soon as it appears in my inbox  -   81%

The same day when I get home from work  -  14%

I leave them for the weekend when I have more free time  -  5%

Angus--None of the categories in your poll of alumni email practices apply to me, so here's my answer:

1. I don't open the newsletter when it comes through first on my home email because with a dial-up connection and an old computer the newsletters simply don't come through properly. I leave it on the server to be picked up at the office.

2. I read alumni assoc. email as soon as time, connectivity and work permit, most often at the office the day it arrives, or the day after: it depends on how busy things are and whether I have any down time, usually at the end of the office day. Email is largely work for me, whether at home or at the office, and I can't read recreational ones if there are "real" ones waiting to be answered. (Right now I'm travelling, and happen to have the facilities to read the newsletter.)

I do find the newsletter interesting--I've enjoyed the historical stuff, though I sadly
admit that I am a member in large part to keep up with the obits.
