Quicklinks:
In the interest of brevity -- you'll find many additional items on the St. Ann's website --the calendar, vestry listing, birthdays and anniversaries, and even the schedules for Sunday readers, ushers, acolytes, chalice bearers, and coffee hour hosts.  For your convenience, the Quicklinks to many these items are provided in the column to the left of this article.  The Quicklinks may change from time to time. . . so keep an eye on them.

Mary Keyse  Just got off the phone with Mary.  She sounds quite good, even though she still has a ways to go before she returns to us in Woodstock.  Mary's knee infection has been resolved, and her next surgery is scheduled for August 16th (LGH).  Following that surgery, though, she'll have a bit of a prolonged period of rehab.  Mary hopes to be home and singing in the choir sometime in October.  Meanwhile, please continue to send her your newsiest news.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  Don't Forget - Morning Prayer -- especially helpful in these Summer months when you may be traveling on the weekend.   Every Friday morning at 9:30am.  Everyone is invited to attend.  This is a simple 20 minute prayer time, remembering each other and our world in prayer.

Some of you may know that The Rev. Scott Hayashi, our Bishop's assistant - was recently elected Bishop of Utah.  Scott's farewell party is very soon.   An open invitation has been issued for anyone who wished to attend that party.

A letter to your Rector, from the Diocese of Chicago:

Dear Pat,

I write today because I am coordinating the farewell party for Scott Hayashi.  When I asked him if there were any people in particular he'd like to extend an invitation to, you and the congregation at St. Ann were at the top of the list.

And so I am sending this link to the e-vite (click HERE) for you to share with people from St. Ann who might be moved to attend.

I hope to see you on the 29th!

Thanks and blessings,

Juleigh

Opportunities:
Here is a quick list of opportunities for immediate service at St. Ann's -- it's not an all-inclusive list  . . . just some special needs and opportunities that come to mind at this moment. (. . . some are brand new, and some are one-time-only opportunities:
    1.  Buildings & Grounds group is working on a new list of "to do" items, which includes a full parish inventory.  If you can assist this team, please contact Bill Clow or Duane Lahti.

   2.  The Choir is "off" for the summer, but if you are interested in participating this fall, Terree Emrich.
   3.  The dynamic Lobster-Leader-Duo of Holly Emrich and Tina Hill are leading us forward- toward the 2010 Lobster Fest.  If this you are interested in being on the team please contact Holly or Tina.

   4.  We have an interesting file of "survey" reports that still needs to be put in electronic form . . . it's quite a bit of data entry and formatting.  Someone comfortable with tables in Word would best handle this opportunity.  Please, contact Rev. Pat if interested in this project.  (Data entry could be done at the church, or at your home.)

   5.  If anyone(s) would like to take a trip up to Milwaukee and see about purchasing new acolyte vestments from the "back room" at Gaspards -- I'm thinking you might enjoy the outing.  You just need to update our list of acolytes and sizes before your outing.  If you are interested, contact me and I'll tell you more.  (Rev. Pat)

    6.  The 2010 Outreach project involving development of a produce garden at St. Ann's is well underway  -- Contact Bruce Armstrong if you are available to help water, weed, or harvest.

   7.  If you'd like to be involved in preparing food/meals for the homeless in our community, please, contact  Dinah Hoppe

Our Summertime Cash-Flow Challenge -  The Finance Committee is concerned that, even though our expenses and revenues are "on budget" -- our cash-flow situation is actually quite difficult this time of year.  (Much of our fundraising revenue comes September - still, we have unpaid obligations now.)
It is necessary for us to ask again if there is any possibility that some of you might be in a position to pre-pay a portion of your remaining 2010 pledge - and/or, to make additional non-pledged contributions now (as soon as possible).
Thank you for your generous and faithful giving - and thank you for considering this special needs request. Please direct any questions about this matter to your Finance Committee:  Joan Purdy, Ben Phillips, Sharon Porter, Mike White and Rev. Pat Conley.
 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Payment Envelopes:  For your convenience, we are using some very multi-use payment envelopes at St. Ann's this year.  They are in the Communication Corridor for you to pick up (take a supply of them with you the next time your are in church)  -- or send me an e-mail and I'll be happy to mail some envelopes to you.  You may use these envelopes for making any contribution or payment to St. Ann's . . . pledges, special gifts, purchases . . . anything and everything.  And, these envelops are suitable for the US Postal Service (or drop them in the offering plate -- or the little "black box in the Communications Corridor.)   Thank you , again.
