July 19, 2009 Rector's Reflection
We had a wonderful Eucharist this Sunday -- 61 people were in attendance. In addition to the inspiring liturgy, this morning we had an extraordinary string quartet, featuring our very own: Carol Lahti, Becky Blaho, Julia Blaho, and Mike Palmer. My, one never knows what one will experience when embarking upon a Sunday morning Eucharist at St. Ann's, Woodstock! :) I'd like to thank the many individuals who responded to my afternoon call-for-assistance - when I could not find the key-security-apparatus for my car. It's a "smart-car" . . . but, as my grandmother might have put it . . . "Patty, you have to be smarter than the car." Anyway -- all is well that ends well. Please, scroll down the announcements and articles below - you don't want to miss anything going on at St. Ann's!
God Bless You! Rev. Pat Conley -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

About Our Cash-Flow "Crunch" at St. Ann's . . . . . . . . . . . .
St. Ann's depends on pledge income as our major source of funding. At present, 54 individuals (or families) have pledged $148,497 towards our 2009 general operating budget. Our records indicate that, as of June 30th, we have received $70,677.50 in such pledge payments. Our expenses have been held down to a level below budget. Still, we are presently experiencing cash-flow challenges. The bottom line is that we are running slightly behind budget on our pledge income, which has made it difficult recently to meet our payroll on time. Understandably, some parish families have been severely impacted by the current economic situation. If anyone is able to send financial support above-and-beyond your 2009 pledge (or, make a NEW pledge if you have not already done so) -- to make up for those who would like to support, but who are not able to do so right now -- your generosity will be greatly appreciated. We ask everyone to again review your pledge and/or other contributions to St. Ann's. Any help you can provide to assist us through this summertime "cash-crunch" is greatly appreciated. Note: Payroll occurs on the 15th and last day of each month. Additional cash support before the July 31st payroll will be especially important! Thanks so much.
