Fr. Hastings & John KunathAnother meaningful Adult Spiritual Life retreat with The Rev. Brian Hastings . . .
This past Friday night and Saturday morning was another inspirational time with Brian Hastings -- enjoyed by all who were able to attend.
Today at St. Ann's
We had a great crowd in church this morning.  And I had such a "whale of a time" presenting today's sermon about Jonah and the "big fish!"
The choir continues to inspire us -- under the temporary leadership of Phyllis Connelly (while Terree Emrich is on sabbatical for much of the next couple months).  Thank you to everyone who participated in today's service.
I'm running short on time this evening . . .so, I'll just send this reflection on to you with announcements and highlights of things to come.
Remember each other in prayer -- and know that I pray for each member of St. Ann's each and every day.
       God bless you.

February 6 --  Family Fun Potluck and Baby Shower
We're getting ready for Isaac Fleming to come from Korea.
6:30pm.  Contact Holly Emrich for more information.
Here is what Isaac's mother-to-be tells us about him:

Isaac is currently 7 months old. The last we heard, at 5 months old he was 12 lbs. and 23". He was considered a bit small for his age, but healthy. We have not been given any updates on his weight/length since then, unfortunately.

Isaac will be 8 months old on 2-15-09. We have been purchasing 12 month sized outfits, thinking he could wear them in the spring when we bring him home...and also purchasing some 18 mo. old outfits as well. That's the tricky part -- just guessing as best we can, and buying stuff that might be a little big, hoping for the best.

We certainly appreciate you folks for doing this. Your kindness is so appreciated. Please let me know if there is anything we can do, or if you need any other information.

you don't have to be wrong cover Speaking of Books . . .
I am intrigued with a book recommended to me this morning.  So intrigued, in fact, that I'll be picking it up at our local bookstore to read.  If anyone else reads this book, I'd love to hear what you think of it.  Title:  "You don't have to be wrong for me to be right" - author, Rabbi Brad Hirschfield.
