The earthquake in Haiti devastated 11-year-old Eldine's family. During the tremors, her father was killed and Eldine and her mother were fortunate to survive. But after the earthquake, Eldine's mother became ill and was unable to care for her.

Eldine then went to live with her Aunt Dolcey who owned a cosmetic and lotion business. Unfortunately, like many small business owners, Eldine lost everything in the earthquake and is struggling to care for Eldine while re-building her business.

But Eldine, her mother and Dolcey are not alone. The church stepped in to help provide housing and food, which was made possible by a World Orphans western partner in Alabama.

Now Eldine is able to stay with her family and study her favorite subject, math, at the church-run elementary school.

Thousands of children like Eldine are receiving help from our partner churches in 14 different countries. But without the support of our generous donors, these projects could not survive.

This holiday season, World Orphans needs 300 individuals or families who will commit to giving $33 a month to help children like Eldine and others that you will learn about during these 33 days.

Will you help World Orphans give the gift of hope to these children?

As a way of thanking you for your support we'll send you a free gift. (More details.)
