Farmmington, CT April 23, 2007 - Dr. Lankin's Cinnamon-Vanilla Awesome AlmondsŪ was voted the #1 Snack Food for 2007 by the CT Specialty Food Association.  This annual competition included over 50 companies and over 170 products. 
 

The award was presented by Moira Kenny of the CT Food Association to founder, Dr. Ken Lankin, at the annual Connecticut Food Association Dinner held at the Aqua Turf Conference Center in Plantsville, CT March 23rd.


5-Year "Birthday Present"#1 Snack Food Award
The award coincides with the 5th anniversary of this small but growing enterprise that started in Groton, CT.

About Dr. Lankin's Specialty Foods, LLC

Awesome AlmondsŪ come in three flavors: Cinnamon-Vanilla; Orange-Vanilla; and Cocoa-Java, using only all-natural ingredients and no added cooking oils.  They are kosher, gluten-free, and vegan-certified (no animal-derived ingredients).  Awesome Almonds are packaged in 2 oz pouch bags.  The logo was designed by Smizer-Perry Design of New London, CT who received their own accolades for the Awesome Almonds artwork and has created material for clients such as Electric Boat, Pfizer, and United Natural Foods (UNFI).
