Happy Mother's Day! Yes, we're still alive. It's been a while since our last newsletter...but that's because there's been SO much going on.

 CT Food Association Dinner
 Governor Jodi Rell (R-CT), Noreen & Ken Lankin

Governor Jodi Rell was the guest speaker at the Annual CT Food Association Dinner. Despite a near case of laryngitis, Governor Rell spoke eloquently on her support for the food business in CT. Governor Rell is also a strong advocate for healthier snacks in school vending machines. Connecticut has one of the most sweeping school nutrition regulations in the nation and is one of the of the first states to ban soda in the public schools.

 Awesome Almonds goes to Miami
 Marriott's Doral Golf Resort & Spa

The famous Doral Golf Resort & Spa became the first Marriott property to feature Awesome Almonds. Now guests at this elegant destination can buy our heart-healthy snack along with fine wines and truffles at their specialty gourmet shop. Going to Miami? Don and Cheryl at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, CT for the Annual Connecticut Food Association Dinner. Our donation of 2 oz packages were featured at each table. Among topics discussed were the Awesome Almond exhibition at the Kosher Showcase in Brooklyn, NY and upcoming attendance at the NASFT's (National Association for the Specialty Food Trade) Fancy Food Show at the Javits Center.
