The Lampasas City Council selected the July 2012 photo contest winner at the August 13th meeting.The winning participant was Cathy Stephens. This photograph, was taken of Abby, Caleb, and Cadence Stephens standing in the rock archway near Hanna Springs school on Cambell Street.

BRUSH CHIPPING PROGRAM

                                     

The City will begin its brush chipping program in November. The pick up dates, areas and rules for the brush chipping program are as follows:

October 29, - November 2, 2012                          Northwest section of the city. West of

                                                                        Key Avenue  and north of First Street.

 

November 5 , - November 9, 2012                        Southwest section of the city. West of Key  

                                                                        Avenue and south of First Street.

 

November 12, - November 16, 2012                     Southeast section of the city. East of Key Avenue

                                                                        and south of First Street.

 

November 19, - November 21, 2012                     Northeast section of the city. East of Key Avenue

                                                                        and north of First Street.

 

November 22, - November 23, 2012                     City of Lampasas will be closed for Holidays

 

November 26, - November 30, 2012                     Continue of Northeast section of the city.

                                                                        Finish up all sections of city brush chipping.

 

Note: City sponsored brush chipping will occur only during designated weeks and designated areas. Cen-Tex Waste Management will also pick up brush on their regular garbage

   

Pick-up days subject to the following conditions:

 

- The brush is no longer than four feet in length;

- The brush is tied in bundles; and

- The bundle does not exceed 35 pounds in weight.

- The bundle must be out by the curb.

Hanna Springs Pool Hours: Tues.-Sat. 12pm-7pm & Sun. 1pm- 6pm. Closed on Mondays. Regular Hours until Aug 19th. Aug. 25 12-7pm, Aug. 26th 1-6pm, Sept. 1 12-7pm, Sept. 2 1-6pm. Contact Hanna Pool 556-4048.


Tap Dance Classes: (Tuesdays) Intermediate Class at 5:30pm and Beginner Class at 6:00pm. Contact Beverly Jones 556-8405. 

  

Water Aerobics: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm-8pm. Contact Hanna Springs Pool 556-4048 or Kim 734-1315.

 

September 3: City offices & Library closed for Labor Day Holiday. Waste Management services will run one day behind the entire week. Emergency services will continue to run.

     

September 5: Preschool Story Time at the Library at 10am. Contact Library 556-3251. 

 

September 9: Hancock Park G.C. Club Championship. Contact Golf Pro Shop 556-3202.   

  

September 16: Rollins Brook Hospital 3-Person Scramble. Contact Golf Pro Shop 556-3202.
