The Lampasas Police Department would like to remind everyone that school starts back in August so please be aware and cautious while in school zones. Remember it is illegal to use a cell phone when driving in an active posted school zone in Texas. It is not safe to text and drive anytime especially in school zones

The Lampasas City Council selected the June 2012 photo contest winner at the July 9th meeting.The winning participant was Melanie Jarboe. This photograph, "Praying for Rain", was taken at Oak Hill Cemetery.
