Malden Held its Annual Flag Day Celebration at Bell Rock Memorial Park
On June 14th Malden held a ceremony acknowledging our nation's most cherished symbol-the American Flag-and the sacrifices made over the years to protect the Flag. The ceremony featured a speaking program and patriotic tunes from the Malden High School Band and Choral Arts Society along with a winning essay and Pledge of Allegiance by local Girl Scouts. In addition, Police Chief James Holland was presented with the Massachusetts National Guard Patriot Award in recognition of his tremendous support of the United States Military. The final panel of Malden's WWII Memorial was dedicated that evening as well. For photos from this event click here
