Concert in the Barn-September 30
Kyle Vincent, singer/song-writer, will entertain us on September 30 at 2:00. He just overhauled his website and added new photos and music. Click here to learn about his career and hear some of his music. Those of you who are "fiber people" (and you know who you are) feel free to bring your knitting and spinning. Kyle is one of my favorite artists (right up there with the Beatles on my I-pod). I hope that you will join us and hear for yourself. His CD's will be available for purchase.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids 5-19 (under 5 free). Reserve your space by clicking this link.

Ram With a Bad Attitude
or You Can Tell It's Breeding Season
Here is a video clip that you might like. This is Clapton, not a ram I've had trouble with, except that he gets his horns around the electric fence wire and pulls it down. That's why he is in this pen. If this gives you a little respect for the power of a ram, that's a good thing.

Large Tote Bag Four gorgeous colorways
Look at this fabulous tote bag! These heavy-duty, large, bags are created by Mayan Hands, a fair-trade organization in Guatemala and provided to us by Schacht Spindle Company. Schacht promotes them as bags for the Cricket Loom (see below) but I don't want to limit their use. See more info and the other 3 colors at this link. There are four in stock now with more on the way.

Rigid Heddle Loom
We carry three models in several sizes.
If you want to start weaving but are intimidated by the size and price of a floor loom, choosing a rigid heddle loom may be the answer. The Cricket Loom, shown to the right, is compact, capable, cute, and very portable! (Just slip it in the beautiful tote bag shown above.) It is available in a 10" or 15" weaving widths. Find out more about the Cricket loom at this link. Other rigid heddle looms fold for portability. The Ashford Knitters Loom comes in 12" and 20" weaving widths and the Schacht Flip Loom comes in 15", 20", and 25". All these looms may be used with or without stands.
