Workforce Recruitment Program Releases Toolkit for Federal Employers
The Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) recently released a toolkit designed to provide Federal employers with information and resources to assist in advancing disability employment within their agencies.
DOL announces comprehensive final rule on H-2B foreign labor certification program
The U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration and its Wage and Hour Division announced a final rule to improve the H-2B temporary nonagricultural worker program. The rule, to be published in the Feb. 21 edition of the Federal Register, includes changes to several aspects of the program to ensure that U.S. workers receive greater access to jobs and strengthens worker protections.
"Pregnancy discrimination persists in the 21st century workplace, unnecessarily depriving women of the means to support their families," said EEOC Chair Jacqueline A. Berrien. "Similarly, caregivers - both men and women - too often face unequal treatment on the job. The EEOC is committed to ensuring that job applicants and employees are not subjected to unlawful discrimination on account of pregnancy or because of their efforts to balance work and family responsibilities." |
