Greetings!

We are issuing a FINAL CALL for our "AAP Boot Camp" coming up this Tuesday, January 24, from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

  • The presentation will address contractor obligations to proactively monitor and analyze workforce composition, job group composition, present utilization, recruitment area availability, progress towards placement goals, and all employment-related decisions to identify, eliminate, and report potential discrimination.
  • Attendees will work in small groups to demonstrate understanding of acceptable analysis and reporting practices as required when submitting an affirmative action program.
  • Following the session, attendees will be able to convey the elements required in an affirmative action program, analytic methods for measuring current incumbency, recruitment area availability, and measuring adverse impact in hiring, promotion, and termination activities, reporting results of the analyses, and taking corrective actions to remain compliant.
  • Attendees will be able to communicate OFCCP's application of the guidelines in compliance evaluations and strategies to lessen adverse impact and prevent violations of Executive Order 11246, as amended; Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended; and the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974, as amended.

This workshop is a great training opportunity for beginning and intermediate AAP practitioners as well as a good compliance refresher for those of you responsible for AAP oversight. It is recommended that you bring your laptop and a calculator to the workshop.

We are privileged to have as our guest presenters Bruce Kuehnl, President of EEO Logic and Former OFCCP District Director with the Portland Office and Theresa Lujan, OFCCP Assistant District Director for the Phoenix District and Las Vegas Field Offices.

The workshop is FREE to members and $75 for nonmenbers (which includes 2012 membership).  We are committed to providing our members the greatest value for their membership through quality training and networking opportunities.

We look forward to seeing you on January 24th!
