iTunes Introduces Artist Images

Artist images and photos can now be added to the iTunes store, with the pictures visible throughout iTunes wherever the relevant artist and artist music appears, as well as in the customer's iTunes library.

You can upload one photo to represent your artist as well as an unlimited number of gallery photos which can be grouped by time, period, theme, etc.

Photos and data can also be changed to include promotional photos to coincide with new releases, etc.

If you are interested in uploading pictures for your artist, please contact your label manager so that we can set-up the appropriate account with iTunes.

An Explanation Regarding Negative Amounts On Royalty Statements

It is possible that you may have seen credit and debit units/amounts for sales in Australia and Japan in the royalty statements for 1206.

This is due to a withholding tax correction. Most portals deduct these amounts from the royalties but Apple deducts it from the payments.

We have been trying to claim these amounts back but have so far been unsuccessful due to the tax treaty between Japan and Holland, and Australia and Holland.

We have applied the same exchange rate as historically used and each correction contains two entries. If the original sale was 100 AUD you will find an entry for -100 and one for +90 leaving a credit amount of 10.

Should you have any questions please contact the royalty department.

Traxsource In Exclusive Cooperation With Leading Anti Piracy Platform muso.com

Traxsource, the music store which was borne out of the need to provide a legal alternative to the consumer for underground music only found, at the time (2003), on illegal file sharing sites, has been looking for ways to tackle piracy since its inception.

After lengthy and extensive research into the prevention of piracy, including consultation with major content providers and legal professionals, Traxsource has chosen muso.com as the simplest and most cost-effective solution available today in order to remove content from illegal sites.

It is generally recognised that the most effective way to tackle piracy is by issuing DMCA Takedown Notifications to the hosts of pirated files. However, according to DMCA laws, these notifications must be issued by the Master Rights holder or their legally designated agent.

As a Traxsource content provider, The Source, and its suppliers are eligible to utilise muso.com's core services with a special 25% discount.

If you are interested in taking advantage of this offer please contact muso.com directly via the 'Sign Up Now' buttons on this page, or  click here to find out more about muso.com.
