The Source - Guidelines For Contributor Naming - Please Read
When creating or changing release information on the Content Editor, it is inevitable that you will come across the concept of contributors (artists, composers, writers, publishers, engineers, editors, etc.) and contributor roles sooner or later. In order to help with this, The Source has updated its guidelines on how to enter contributor information correctly into the system.
By following these guidelines, you will ensure that the contributors are not only entered correctly, but also delivered correctly to the outlets.
Please take the time to read this as wrongly entered Contributor Names can cause delays and errors during delivery.
Click here to read the updated Guidelines for Contributor Names.
The instructions in the Guidelines should be clear, but if you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to contact us.

New Artwork Specs From 1 August
The Source is changing the minimum size requirements for the delivery of music cover artwork.
Further to iTunes and several other stores increasing the minimum size requirements for their artwork, cover artwork should now be at least 1500 x 1500 pixels, with an aspect ratio of 1:1, and delivered as high-quality JPEG files. Images with a size of 2400 x 2400 pixels are recommended.
Cover artwork already delivered to us does not need to be redelivered, unless the release date is after 1 August 2012.
These new specifications will start to be enforced by iTunes and several other stores from 1 August 2012, so please ensure that you are delivering appropriately sized artwork for all deliveries after this date as wrongly sized artwork will cause delivery errors and delays.
Further updates to The Source delivery specifications will be announced soon.
If you have any questions about these changes, please contact us
