We hope that you got off to a good first week.  Despite the earthquake, rainstorm at the open house, and hurricane, everyone seemed happy to be back aben and akuat Oakland Terrace. Afterschool Activities

After school activities will begin in October. You can get information in several ways:

  • Come early to Back to School Night at the main campus to talk directly to sponsors. Sponsors will be available in the All Purpose Room at 7:00 on Wednesday and 6:30 on Thursday. 
  • You will be receiving flyers through backpacks.
  • Go to http://oaklandterracepta.com/v2/after-school-enrichment/ for links to the different program websites.

Breakfast anicecream collaged Ice Cream

When the teachers and staff arrived to work for their first day, they were greeted with a wonderful breakfast provided by Oakland Terrace families. Thanks to all who contributed the fruit, eggs, cakes, muffins, bagels, and more to over 90 staff members. Special thanks to Teresa Peachey for organizing the event.

 

Torrential rains couldn't stop the two ice cream socials at the Kindergarten and Main Campus open houses. We hope you enjoyed the ice cream, music, and opportunity to see your friends and neighbors. Thanks to former Oakland Terrace student Bradley Ingram for providing the music.

65 New Parents Attended Meeting   newcomers meeting 2011

Despite the cold and rain, 65 parents came out to a meeting for parents new to Oakland Terrace. They got the chance to meet other parents and talk in small groups.

 

Ms. Pulliam, Ms. Ryan, and Ms. Higgins were on hand to answer questions and address concerns. Thanks to all the Parent Ambassadors who took their time to answer questions and facilitate discussions.

 

 

Math!!!
There have been a lot of questions about the new Math curriculum. We will have a presentation at an upcoming PTA meeting to explain the curriculum.
