ZSX Medical is an early stage medical device company focused on improving the outcomes and process of surgical procedures. Currently, the company is working with Synectic on improvements for cesarean birth surgeries by developing an innovative method for uterine closure after cesarean delivery.
Synectic engineers started this development process with ZSX Medical by first creating a number of concepts for their Zip-StitchTM clip and delivery system. Synectic is currently working as ZSX Medical's development team and has had significant success with initial clinical and bench testing.

Vincent Mata III
B.S. Mechanical Engineering

Vinny has a diverse product development background with experience in spine and arthroscopy instrumentation, stainless steel and titanium materials and laser welding. His in-depth knowledge of design, development and process engineering from product inception to completion allows him to analyze problems, recommend creative solutions and implement plans to achieve objectives. Vinny is a Senior Design Engineer and has been with Synectic over 3 years. He managed the engineering department at a start-up spine company prior to joining Synectic.
