Greetings!
I am very happy and excited to confirm that we have finally started Montessori International Preschool. I cannot believe it has happened at last, after almost 2 years of hard work, patience, negotiations, patience, planning and yes, a lot more patience.
On Wednesday 17 August, we welcomed the first children at my place and spent a really nice time together. Being at home is actually a blessing as it is a very cosy way to start. The children have adapted to their new environment very quickly and we have enjoyed getting to know each other in the past 2 weeks.
Now, we are ready for the next step and we have been fortunate enough that Frederiksberg Municipality has given us the opportunity to use a temporary place right by the town hall. It is available to us until February 2012 and we will be moving there during the first week of September. With the extra space, we will finally be able to bring in the rest of our materials which are in storage and waiting to be used by the children. Of course, we continue to search for a permanent location and hope that something amazing will come our way. In the meantime, we are very happy with our new home.

This also means that we have now given up on the house in Valby as the Copenhagen Municipality's bureaucratic procedures have completely worn us down and made us lose the incentive to pursue our venture at a place with such complicated, expensive and time-consuming demands. We would like to say sorry to the parents who live in Valby who were hoping for a local international preschool but Frederiksberg is not too far away so we hope to be able to welcome your little ones there.
Even though we are limited to 10-11 children at our new place in Frederiksberg, we would recommend interested parents to send registrations as soon as possible for the next term so that we can start a priority list. This would also prove to the municipality that there is a great need for an institution like ours in the hope that they can keep on helping us in finding a suitable permanent location. Best regards, Isabelle Valentine Founder and owner | | |

Still Looking For a Building
We now have a temporary location in Frederiksberg but we continue our search for a building where we can settle permanently. Again, here are our requirements:
- between 150-250 m2
- located in Frederiksberg
- with a private garden more than 300 m2
- with direct access on the ground floor or with an elevator
- close to public transport (metro, train or bus)
We are open to any type of building and we would like to view as many places as possible so let us know if you hear of anything.
Thank you all so much.
