Greetings!
We hope that you are all having a very nice summer. The weather is not always cooperating but it makes the few sunny spells a real pleasure.
We wanted to inform you about the latest news regarding the house in Valby. The results from the neighbour survey (nabo-orientering) have been disappointing. Most of the neighbours objected to our project as they do not want a preschool on their street, for several different reasons. The municipality therefore needs to have a special meeting with the building department mayor and the local politicians in order to decide whether they will give us planning permission or not. That meeting is set for the end of August so we will not get an answer soon.
This means that we will not have the house available when we welcome the first children in August. So we have decided to start the preschool at my place, in Frederiksberg, while we wait for the result of the municipality meeting. At the same time, we are looking for other suitable locations for the preschool, in case the response is negative.
As you can imagine, this is not how we wanted it all to work out but everything happens for a reason so we trust that it will all settle itself nicely in the near future.

Looking For a New Building
The Municipality might reject our application for planning permission for the house in Valby. As a back up plan, we are looking for another building that would be suitable for our preschool and we would like to ask all of you if you know of any place that satisfies the following requirements:
- between 150-250 m2
- located in Frederiksberg, Valby or Indre By
- with a private garden more than 300 m2
- with direct access on the ground floor or with an elevator
- close to public transport (metro, train or bus)
- for rent

We would also be interested in a piece of land (minimum 350 m2) for rent where we could build the preschool from scratch.
We are open to any type of building and we would like to view as many places as possible so let us know if you hear of anything.

Registrations
We are not registering any more children for August and September as we have reached our desired numbers for those months.
As we will only be able to welcome a limited number of children in the next few months, please contact us to know if we can accept your child from October on.

- children must be at least 2.5 years old
- children must be toilet-trained.

Montessori Støtteforening
The association's purpose is to apply for private and public funds and organise fundraising activities and events in order to:
- support all activities, workshops and courses that apply or promote the Montessori educational principles and methodology;
- support all activities, workshops and courses that are held at Montessori establishments;
- inform and update the public on Montessori activities, workshops and projects.
