Challenge yourself!

 

The next great overnight event is the single and double-handed 100 Miler. Don't miss it!!

There are many good reasons to be there, including.....
  • Where else can you sail about 100 miles on your own or together with another person and take great pride in self-accomplishment.
  • The 100 Miler must be finished and counted to win the coveted division title.
In addition, at the Friday night Skipper and Crew Meeting 7:30 pm:
  • Mount Gay rum bottles raffled off (must be present to win).
  • A hard copy of the SI's (and any changes), as well as LOSHRS back stay flags available only at the meeting.
Breakfast will be available at 8am Saturday morning.

Andrew's Party, Dinner in the Club and an evening at The Port are just a few of the highlights of our final short-handed racing series of the year.

Lake Ontario 300 Challenge
Lake Ontario 300 and the Susan Hood Trophy Race Awards Banquet is scheduled for Saturday September 22nd 
Hosted at Port Credit Yacht Club

The evening will be a great celebration with prizes, excellent menu and some amazing stories.
Cocktails will begin at 5pm, Dinner and Awards to follow.
More details will be coming, but please mark your calendars now!

After a fantastic race by everyone it is going to be great to see some photos on our facebook page. Please remember to upload your favourite photos over the next few weeks so everyone can get a glimpse of what was going on around the lake. 
If you have any videos loaded on utube please let everyone on facebook know about it.

Perseverance Trophy
 
Every year we award a trophy for the person or boat that persevered the most to complete this race and every year there are some amazing stories that more than qualify, but there is only one trophy winner. We would like to hear your stories. Your summary of events that made this year's race a challenge to finish.
Please email your stories, or your recommendation for someone you saw in the race to Brian Townsend, bdtownsend@rogers.com and feel free to attach any pictures.

 

Still to come:

The Air Canada Draw for a two person trip anywhere in North America will be drawn at this year's award banquet. Anyone finishing the race will qualify for this greaet prize.
Skippers Plan Team Challenge results are still being calculated and will be announced at the awards banquet with the prize money going to the respective clubs Junior Learn To Sail Programs.
