Hospital to Close Parking Garage, Main Entrance on January 24

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On Monday, January 24, 2011, Norwalk Hospital will close its parking garage and main entrance due to construction, which is expected to last 14 months.
Until construction is completed, all Hospital patients and visitors, except Whittingham Cancer Center and Medical Office Building patients, should use valet parking located at the Hospital's new main entrance on Maple Street, next to the Emergency Department, or park in the Maple Street lot.
All Hospital patients and visitors should enter the Hospital through the new Main Entrance, which is the former Ambulatory Care entrance, located next to the Emergency Department on Maple Street.
Whittingham Cancer Center patients should continue to use the Cancer Center's valet parking and entrance located on Stevens Street. Medical Office Building (MOB) patients should continue to park in the Dana lot and use the MOB entrance on Stevens Street.
When completed in 14 months, the new parking garage, which will be built on the site of the old garage, will provide parking for 200 additional cars and will greatly improve patient access to the Hospital and traffic flow.
Our Mission
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The mission of the Norwalk Association of Silvermine Homeowners (NASH) is to provide a voice for Silvermine as a historic, cultural and natural resource. We support a vision of a rural neighborhood within whose boundaries change can continue to occur while the feeling of community and the "sense of place" remain strong, the important historic structures are preserved, and the existing biodiversity, in all its richness, is not compromised.
