This is the hope that Jack built . . .

When Jack was diagnosed with neuroblastoma nearly six years ago, I quickly learned that treatment options for this 'orphan' disease were severely limited and new therapies were either underfunded or unavailable. Working together with our friends and family as well as the friends and families of the other children like Jack fighting cancer across the country and around the world, we are making a difference and we are making new treatments a reality.

Thank you for backing the I Back Jack Foundation and believing in our mission to keep building upon our foundation of hope.

Gratefully,

Sarah Bartosz

President, I Back Jack Foundation

Jack at 2010 event

Through its efforts, the I Back Jack Foundation supports the development of clinical trials that will make a big impact for cancer's smallest warriors today, not 20 years from now.

In 2009 and 2010, the Foundation committed $125,000 to support the development of two new clinical trial therapies.

As a result of the success from last year's Back to School Golf Event, the I Back Jack Foundation proudly joined forces with four other grassroots, parent-led foundations in pledging a combined total of $1.5 million to fully fund the development of a new trial for neuroblastoma. This is known to be the largest commitment to a single trial for neuroblastoma.

Beating Cancer . . . a personal update on Jack
NEW VACCINE THERAPY

Jack's 1st vaccine shot

On June 3, Jack became the fifth patient enrolled in the ATOMIC vaccine trial at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. He received his first injection with a smile and a hope that this would be the treatment to help him successfully win his fight against cancer.

Just one year ago this trial did not exist and was only made possible with a donation from our friends at Cookies For Kids' Cancer, a foundation like I Back Jack -- founded by parents, supported by generosity, and fueled by hope.

OUR HERO MEETS HIS HERO
Jack, Annie, and Aaron Rodgers

Annie & Jack Bartosz and Aaron Rodgers

Both the Milwaukee Wave and the MACC Fund scored big when Packer quarterback Aaron Rodgers made his first post

Super Bowl appearance at the final regular season Wave game in March.  Even better, our own JACK BARTOSZ was one of the lucky MACC Fund kids who was able to join Rodgers in the locker room and on the field.

Aaron not only signed Jack's #12 jersey but also presented him with a signed  Super Bowl ticket that reads, "Jack, you are my MVP."  Jack was excited to see his new friend again in May at the 'Evening with Aaron Rodgers' event when Aaron announced to the more than 750 gathered that the I Back Jack golf towel hanging on his golf bag brings him good luck.
