Please pay ASAP and avoid the next increase in fees - we need to give the Cavalier guarantees and, without your payment, how will we know to set a place for you?
DO NOT MAIL ANY PAYMENTS AFTER AUGUST 19 unless you can be certain sure they will be in the PO Box in Virginia by August 23.
Please look over our website for answers to FAQs - you'll find the Daily Agenda, dress suggestions (casual with shoes and shirts for catered functions) and lots of other useful information.
We know that for many reasons some will only be in a position to join in the fun during the days and into the evenings after the paid functions for which a Name Badge is REQUIRED for admittance.
We want to welcome as many as we can whenever we can and hope that everyone understands that we do not have the funds to pay for catered events for those that do not feel compelled to pay for themselves. We put these reunions together on an at best break even budget so any who do not pay for themselves need to understand that everyone will have to pay for them. We make it a strict policy to not short the hotels that welcome us and work with us to keep our costs as low as possible.

At long last, in just two weeks most of you will be arriving for "High Thai'd in Virginia Beach!
What to Expect When You Arrive!

Registrations are in the Beach Tower only! Check in at the Beach Tower whether you are staying at the Historic Cavalier or the Beach Tower. Then head to your right and go to the Registration room where we will give you your reunion packets, reunion badge*, T-shirt and mark you as present. *Your reunion badge must be worn for all events to show that you've paid and are not crashing the event(s). (Yes in past reunions we've had a few we've had to turn away or collect payment if they still wished to attend.)

Review your reunion packet: Don't miss events because you didn't realize they were going on. Take the schedule out of your packet and keep it handy. Review it daily. We hope to also have a daily schedule posted in the lobby.

Volunteering to help out? Make sure you show up when and where scheduled. We can use all the help we can get. It's a great way to have fun while you meet and greet alumni, work the shack, monitor the archives, manage house game sign-ups, etc. If you'd like to volunteer and have not yet signed up, please email [email protected].

Shack Store: Get settled in your room and then we highly recommend you visit the Shack to get first dibs on the merchandise. Our quantities are limited--don't walk away at the end of the reunion disappointed and empty handed.

Explore the Hotel, Beach an Pool area: The Cavalier is a big property, take your reunion packet with you and make note of where each event for each day is being held. Good time to locate friends and hang out in the lobby as friends arrive.

Thai Dinner: If you paid for the Thai dinner please make sure you are wearing your reunion badge for entry. If you haven't paid prior to the reunion, we are sorry, but cannot guarantee you'll be able to pay for a spot when you arrive. The hotel has a restaurant and there are several places along the beach where you can eat.

Teen Club: Following the Thai Dinner people tend to gravitate to the Teen club to dance and enjoy the great music performed by our own "Long Distance Band" made up of Alumni from around the country. All musicians and singers welcome.
We are very excited to welcome you to our largest reunion to date! A special welcome to all 1st time reunion goers, 80's kids, parents. current and former faculty members & spouses!

With just over 2 weeks to go to the VA Beach Reunion, we are putting out a call for volunteers to help make "High Thai'd in VAB" a great success!
Get a friend or family member to join you so you can visit as you help. Those taking the last shifts of the day can trade off with others helping to get ready for the evening activities. Helping your BOD members with these on-site tasks makes sure that the work load is shared and even the BOD members can join in the fun.
Please reply to this post or e-mail our Secretary, Cricket Lanza [email protected] with the areas that you would like to help with and the times that you can help. Then watch your mail box for additional messages and the completed schedule.
Thanks in advance for your willingness to help out -- any past volunteer will tell you that these activities are a great way to say hello to your friends and meet new ones!

The ISB Student Science Society alumni are proud to announce that their book project dedicated to Mr. Phil Reeves (SSS Advisor) will be available at the VAB reunion.
The Butrous Foundation is publishing the first volume Young Scientist Journeys in time for the reunion with Volumes II & III to be published in 2011.
Volume I features chapters by Mr. Phil Reeves, 16 ISB alumni mentored by Mr. Reeves, 2 members of the Butrous Foundation (Dr. Ghazwan Butrous and Christina Astin) plus a special guest young scientist.
These authors are mentoring the next generation of young scientists just as they were mentored by Mr. Reeves and other caring, nuturing scientists.
