First Week of Dance Classes
Everything You Need To Know to be Prepared
The first couple of weeks will be very busy inside and out of the studio. Please be sure to follow traffic arrows in the parking lot to avoid any issues.
Please try to arrive a few minutes early/when possible it is great to bring your dancer dressed for class and their dance shoes (labeled with their name on the inside) in a dance bag
When you arrive there will be staff and assistants to show you which dance room your dancer will be in as well signs with the same information.
Once your dancer is settled in class you are free to wait or run an errand. Though we do suggest that parents of our younger dancers wait until your dancer is comfortable with our staff before choosing to leave.
If you were unable to purchase shoes prior to the start of dance please be sure to leaave enough time to do so to be sure your dancer is able to go into class with the rest of their friends.
Special Note to Our Youngest Dancers
It is important you know that for some of our young dancers this will be the first experience away from mom and in a new environment. For this reason it may take them a few weeks (or more) to acclimate to the class setting. It is normal for some to just watch and take it all in while others may have a few tears. Many times those tears will go away as soon as they have been in class a few minutes. We know as a parent your instinct is run in and save them. But, we ask that you give us a few minutes to make your dancer feel comfortable.
And, probably the most improtant...we ask that you take them to the restroom before class. Please let them know if they need to use it during class to tell their instructor.
Most importantly we want your dancer to have a great experience and learn to love dance!
