October is here and soon cooler weather will be upon us. Are you ready? Is your house ready? NOW is a great time to check to make sure you are ready for winter.
Here are a few things to think of for your home:
- Pipes! Protect your exposed pipes from the cold, freezing weather and wrap them in insulation!
- Check your windows and doors; see if you need to replace or add weather stripping so the outside cold air draft doesn't go into your home.
- Change your AC filters often
- Make sure you have flashlights and batteries ready for those power outages.
- Cover those patio sets or/and store your cushions so they do not get ruined.
