Lately, many people have been floating the river, hanging out in their pools or going to lakes to cool down in this 100 degree hot weather. We carry many products from pool toys to nice rafts and tubes to help you have fun and cool down. One particular raft that I love is the king kool pool lounge. Its easy to blow up, has a cup holder, an oval size shape cut out at the bottom of the raft to let your feet hang in the water when you need to cool off.
We also carry the mega chill floating ice chest, which is a definite summer necessity. It has room for up to 24 soda cans, room for ice and has 6 cup holders on the outside of it. So instead of trying to fit the ice chest on your raft and making sure it doesn't fall in the water when you are out floating the river or at the lake, try the mega chill floating ice chest! With a good raft and good friends and family, you can have some fun and cool off in the water.

Pool Care at Schemper's Ace Hardware
For our customers that have pools we would like to remind you that Schemper's Ace Hardware can test your pool water and recommend the proper chemicals and treatment program for you. We will test you water (FREE!) and give you a printout of the chemicals you will need to keep your pool sparkling clean and ready for your summer enjoyment.
 Schemper's Ace Hardware carries a full line of chemicals for pools and spas, along with test kits, water thermometers, and pool brushes. One of our new products is called "GREEN TO BLUE," produced by HTH. It is a two-step process to turn your pool water from that green algae-look, to sparkling blue. It is an excellent process to use if a severe algae bloom occurs during the swim season. The first bag has chemicals to kill the algae and the second bag contains a clarifier to help clean out the contaminants from your pool water. As with any product, be sure to read and follow the instructions.

SCHEMPER'S GREEN ITEM OF THE MONTH | |
We are constantly looking for ways to be a "greener" retailer as we care about the overall health of our planet. For nearly two years now, Schemper's ACE Hardware has been your paint recycling location, accepting homeowners' "left over" latex enamel paint. We have been able to do so thanks to a state grant and in partnership with Visions Paint Recycling, Inc. In order to accept paint to be recycled, it must be undiluted and in its original, un-rusted can. Just bring it through the front door of our store and we will assist you in making the right thing happen. Visions Paint Recycling (VPR) collects consumers' un-used paint, and recycles it to be sold in 1 gallon and 5 gallon buckets at a very reasonable rate. This paint is available in over 20 colors, and is very durable, with low odor, as well as easy application and excellent adhesion.
Schemper's ACE Hardware is pleased to announce that we now stock VPR paint for both interior and exterior needs in flat, eggshell and semi-gloss. We are currently stocking 9 different colors and we have the ability to quickly receive any color, sheen or type of paint VPR has to offer.
