Now is the time to lay the ground work for a beautiful spring garden with a few simple steps.

      *Add soil amendment to your garden areas that will be planted

       with flowers or vegetables this spring.  Harvest Supreme works

       great for this!       

      *Spray your peaches and nectarines with copper spray now to 

       prevent peach leaf curl.  Copper spray should not be applied after

       blooms open or leaves emerge.

      *Prune fruit trees and rose bushes.  Apply Bayer Advance Fruit,

       Citrus and Vegetable 12 Month Systemic Insect Control to your 

       fruit trees now so the new leaves will be protected when they 

       come out of dormancy.

      *Give your fruit tree roots a boost in January by applying a liquid or

       granular form of 0-10-10 fertilizer.

      *Prevent the seeds of last season's crabgrass from coming up this

       year by applying Ace Lawn Fertilizer with Crabgrass Preventer or

       Scott's Super Turf Builder with Halts.

      *Want to start your own tomato or pepper seeds?  Start them 

       inside in late January using seed starting products available

       in our garden department.
