HOW TO GET INVOLVED WITH THE
 2011 CENSUS

VOLUNTEER CO-ORDINATORS FORUM  Wednesday 16 February 2011

 1.15pm for 1.30pm and finishing 3.30pm

Kindle Centre, ASDA, Belmont Road,

Hereford HR2 7JE

John Tyler, Census Area Manager, will talk about the Census in March 2011 and how you and your volunteers could help your service users to complete the forms.

The Forums are a useful opportunity for those managing/co-ordinating volunteers to get together informally to discuss issues around volunteering, to exchange or seek advice and ideas from others and generally to network.  Just drop an email to say whether you will be attending or not angela@herefordshireva.org or ring 01432 343932.

FREE MARKETING RESOURCES

Charity Comms is the professional organisation for charity communicators.  They often hold very useful seminars and events on a range of practical topics.  The only downside is that they are in London.  On the plus side they have made all of their event materials available for free to download from their website.

Highly recommended.

INTER-GENERATIONAL PROJECTS
- HELP NEEDED

The Volunteer Centre has been commissioned by Herefordshire Community Development Partnership to write a report on Intergenerational Projects in the county.  This will firstly involve mapping projects that have taken place over the last 2 years.

Even if your organisation hasn't been involved in one of these projects, it would be an enormous help if you could tell us about any project you know about - it may have happened in your village, in your local school, day centre or youth club.  Just the name of the project would be useful.

Please contact Angela Legg on 01423 343 932 or angela@herefordshireva.org if you can help.
