WE NEED YOUR HELP!

   Join us for the

FIRST ANNUAL HBF BLITZ BUILD

 October 6, 7, 8

In three days, HBF volunteers will build seven ramps for seven families throughout metro Denver. These projects are in dire need of fast track completion.

  • If you can swing a hammer - great!
  • If you can handle a saw - great!
  • If you can help carry materials - great!
  • If you can donate and bring food for the workers - great!

Whatever you can do to help will be greatly appreciated by the families who need these ramps which allows them to continue living in their homes with dignity and independence.

For more information or to sign up to help on one of the Blitz Build projects please contact Beth Forbes by calling 303-551-6721 or email bforbes@hbfdenver.org.

HBF will handle all logistics while generous companies have donated materials.

Decking is secured for all projects thanks to donations from

TimberTech and OrePac

The following individuals applied for a ramp to be built by HBF. The requests were approved and the HBF Board of Directors decided these projects were in need of quick construction:

M. Anderson, SE Denver, uses a scooter and needs a ramp to get in and out of the home.

K. Avila, West Denver, uses a scooter and needs a ramp to get in and out of the home.

B. Davis, Brighton, has limited mobility and needs a ramp to get in and out of the home.

J. Jones, Aurora , is a double amputee with Spina Bifida and needs a ramp to get in and out of the home.

G. Oliver, Thornton, has Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and needs a ramp to get in and out of the home.

K. West, Lakewood, uses a scooter and lived in a nursing home for the last two years, but can now return home since a ramp will be installed.

A. Williams, Aurora, uses a walker and needs a ramp to get in and out of the home.

PROVIDING VALUE

Did you know that in 2010 for every $1 the HBF contributed to a project it was worth approximately $6 of retail value?

Thanks to the many caring individuals and donations from companies in the building industry and beyond, the HBF is able to leverage the money available to help with projects. As a result, the HBF is able help so many more families who wouldn't have an accessible solution otherwise.

Consider a donation to the Foundation today and help us help those who need this assistance.

The Denver area has hundreds of folks who, through no fault of their own, have some form of disability.

A select remodel allows them to stay in their home and live with dignity and independence.

You can help with donations of money, time, or skill.  Donate to the Foundation today , join a committee, or attend an event.
