BodyTech Open Day 


 
To celebrate BodyTech's August anniversary we will be hosting an open day on Saturday the 27th of August from 10am until 4pm at our Mt Eden facility - 8 Nugent Street.
 
Summer is fast approaching, even if that cool nip is still in the air. Give it a few months and we will all be on the beach again enjoying the hot sun. Now is the perfect time to start getting active again in preparation for breaking out those swimming trunks! Join us for our open day and kick start your fitness programme.
 
There are prizes to be won and a whole range of fitness classes, fitness testing and activities to enjoy all day (see details below). Bring a friend along to help keep you motivated during these final few winter months and share the great results together! We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Supervised Strike


Supervised Strike™ High Intensity Training is a BodyTech knockout. Supervised Strike delivers an authentic high intensity boxer's workout. All trainers are qualified BodyTech Strike Instructors, guaranteeing safe and challenging workouts every time. Suitable for all fitness levels and ages. Give this class a go!

Karla Brodie is an experienced and qualified teacher. Her practical and intuitive approach to teaching leads students to a deeper experiential understanding of breath, balanced posture and integrated yoga movements.

Mat Pilates

Mat classes combine all the Mat exercises and principles of Pilates without the use of equipment. You create resistance using your own body and gravity. Mat classes are an excellent way to strengthen your core and provide all the essentials of a dynamic Pilates workout.

Fitness Testing

We will be offering you the opportunity to measure your body composition (body fat percentage, lean muscle), cardiovascular fitness, or muscular strength for free. All you need to do is turn up on the day.

Reformer Pilates: 15 minute Tasters

The Pilates reformer is an apparatus used in Pilates, which is conducted in small group situations. In classes you are guided through a series of controlled exercises that are specifically tailored to your level of ability. The exercises are designed to help you attain a higher level of core strength and balance, whilst simultaneously strengthening and stretching your entire body.  An Instructor will be available to talk to you about the benefits of Reformer Pilates and take you through a short series of Reformer exercises.

Free 15 minute Spine and Joint Check

Cushla Storey, Osteopath
10am - 3pm

If you suffer from back or neck pain, headaches, joint pain or injuries, Osteopath Cushla Storey will be available for complementary spine and joint checks. Your 15 minute free check will include a brief case history, a brief examination and some general advice. Cushla is a NZ Registered Osteopath, BodyTech MedFit Trainer and Pilates Instructor.

Programme Discussions

Are you bored? Do you need to review your programme?

A Programme Discussion is an opportunity to sit down with a Trainer and discuss your health and fitness goals, where you are now relative to these goals, what's stopping you from achieving your goals, and what you need to do to help you realise these goals. At the end of the discussion you should be clear on the next steps on your journey, be it keep doing what you're doing, a new exercise programme, a body composition test, or possibly even a Personal Trainer.

First Workouts

Do you have a friend or family member that you'd like to introduce to the Supervised Circuit? For one day only there will be no appointment necessary. Just bring them along in comfortable workout gear and a Trainer will be available to take them through a workout on the Supervised Circuit.

Do you feel tight? Would you like to know how to stretch more effectively? Stretching is important for people of all ages. One of the greatest benefits of stretching is that you're able to increase your range of motion, which means your limbs and joints can move further before an injury occurs. Post-exercise stretching can also aid in workout recovery, decrease muscle soreness, and ensure that your muscles and tendons are in good working order. We will have Trainers available to demonstrate effective stretching techniques and if you're already stretching, they may be able to help refine your technique.

F2M consultants

Our BodyTech F2M consultants will be available to chat with you about our 6 week Fat-2-Muscle™ programme. We will have food from our nutrition plan for you to taste and Trainers for you to meet if you are keen to understand more about what the training entails.

10 minute shoulder and neck massage

Meli Harris is a Holistic Wellbeing and Massage Therapist, who will be giving 10 minute shoulder and neck massages from 10am-2pm. She is also available to give you some advice on energetic healing and practical guidance for flourishing in a 21st century society.
