30 Day Challenge

Greetings! 
 
Honoring one's commitment to to finish the 30 Day Challenge is really an accomplishment.  We want to honor our Yoginis who completed the inaugural PBY 30 Day Challenge and share their thoughts on this feat with all of you.

mary kayI was most challenged by having to do the yoga everyday during the Challenge. In my regular practice, it was always my choice to come in and do yoga. Agreeing to the Challenge, I now had to do the yoga.  I had to finish.
 
I did not expect to complete the Challenge and feel so good.  I thought I would be exhausted, but I actually felt good.  Maybe it was the sense of accomplishment.  I always made sure I ate properly, kept myself hydrated and got plenty of sleep.
 
You can expect to feel successful and proud after you complete the Challenge.

I recommend this because it can be done by anyone, a seasoned practitioner or beginner.  It doesn't take being at a certain level to be able to do this Challenge, it just takes dedication .

I was most challenged by attending everyday!  I did not expect to get progressively sore; my hips are SCREAMING!
 
You can expect a great sense of accomplishment along with health benefits.
 
I recommend that you do this because sometimes challenging yourself makes you feel like you can do anything in this life.  It will prepare you for future physical and mental hardships.  It will make you STRONG!
 
BY is very challenging to me.  I suffer from osteo-arthritis.  Some of the poses are very painful to me.  I have found that in the last 30 days my arthritic aches and pains are less and less painful.  It's amazing!

I recommend this because you will feel empowered.
As always, I am "challenged" by consecutive days of practice, but I love the results.  Any time you feel like you want to start a 30 Day Challenge, just let us know.  We are happy to support you in your practice.
 
A few of us started a new Challenge immediately after completing this one.  We were also joined by a few new Challengers!

I was most challenged by the sense that my practice was getting worse instead of getting better. Around day 9 - 14 I think my body was just plain tired and not used to me pushing it every single day without a break. In the end, my practice has definitely improved.
 
I did not expect to enjoy a double! I did 2 during the challenge and the first one didn't go so well. I did my second double after taking a few days off and was strong and restored. I was energized after the second class.
 
You can expect to improve flexibility and cardio stamina. I can run longer distances without getting winded since doing the Challenge.
 
I recommend this because of the overwhelming sense of accomplishment you'll feel at the end of the Challenge. Not very often are we presented with opportunities to challenge our bodies and mental toughness.
