Greetings of Peace. 

MWA hopes that you a had wonderful Eid and prays that you and your family are surrounded with peace and blessings throughout the year.  We are grateful to be a part of the vibrant Chicagoland community with its generous spirit and altruistic nature.  

Each event of RRR 2012 is a testament to the dedication of our program mangers and volunteers. MWA Program Managers spent months in planning and implementing the RRR events.  Youth groups in Bridgeview and Naperville came early to help set up and stayed late to load the 110 lbs food baskets onto the trucks for delivery.  Members of the Islamic Center of Naperville worked till the early hours of the morning to make sure that the food baskets were delivered to the families as promised.  Our volunteers for the homeless shelters arrived early morning, eager to work even after spending the night in worship.  Volunteers and program managers went back the next day to finish incomplete projects for the masjid renovations.  Whether it was stepping up to make deliveries, running to the corner store to pick up extra supplies, or volunteering with their families, MWA volunteers embodied the true spirit of Islam and Ramadan.  

This year, Ramadan Rush for Rewards 2012 was a phenomenal success due to your willingness to volunteer and financial support.  The RRR 2012 lineup included 13 events throughout the Chicagoland area.  We served and worked with 30 organizations this Ramadan.

With your help, Ramadan Rush for Rewards 2012 raised over $68,000 and contributed over 1900 hours of community service!
