We have a fantastic weekend planned this weekend with our Beer Festival, but we'll let Mark tell you all about that further down the page. We also have our famed Beer and Hymns night on Sunday, which is definitely a night not to be missed.
Plus, you can be the first to see our four brand new Christmas menus created by the team and the exciting new Christmas Packages we have to offer, including gift vouchers.

Christmas at The Bull at Benenden
We know it seems too early to talk about Christmas, in fact it is 92 days too early, but we want you to be the first to see our fantastic new Christmas Menus.
This year we are offering four menus so that we can cater for every occasion and budget.
Choose a beautiful home cooked three course meal followed by coffee and mince pies. You can select from five fantastic starters, nine main courses and a huge selection of desserts. The choices cater for every palette and include everything from game, fish, vegetarian options and of course a traditional Christmas dinner that is second to none. It truly is a festive feast.
Christmas Carvery... £19.95 - (View Menu)
So as not to disappoint, we could not leave out our famed Carvery. To start you can choose from Smoked Salmon and Prawn Cocktail or Juicy King Prawns to name a few. The carvery is a choice of Turkey or Beef with all the trimmings, or if you prefer there is a choice of vegetarian options including a Creamy Brie and Cranberry Tart. You can finish your meal by selecting a tasty treat from our massive array of desserts or a cheese board, and if you can manage there is Coffee and Mince Pies.

Even though we are keeping it simple, you still get to choose from a great selection of starters including, Smoked Salmon and Prawn Cocktail, Potted Duck and Orange Pate, Stilton and Broccoli Soup with Parsnip Crisps. For your main there is a Traditional Roast Turkey Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings or vegetarian Pumpkin, Spinach and Goats Cheese Lasagne. For dessert there is Christmas Pudding, Yule Log or Cheese and Biscuits. Plus, if you dare, there is also Coffee and Mince Pies.

Why not book a Christmas Drinks Party and let us do the work. We have a great selection of canapés including Mini Crab Cakes with Sweet Chilli, Tempura Battered King Prawns, Pheasant and Rabbit Pate Bruchetta and Soured Cream and Caviar Blinis, plus each person gets a free glass of fizz. It's perfect for a light lunch or early evening get together.

It wasn't four weddings and a funeral, but it was Four Awards and A Wedding.
The second week in September was one to remember for both of us. It started with an award ceremony in London where by now you all know we won a grand total of four awards, the most prestigious being "The Best Freehouse Pub" in the United Kingdom and "The Best Pub" in the South East.
.
This was then followed by a brief interlude and then one of the best days of my life, our wedding.
Surrounded by family and friends it was a truly lovely day and I would like to thank Rev Canon Charles Hill for a lovely ceremony and all of you for your kind words and help over the weekend. Plus, a big thank you to the team for all of your hard work. 
Mark and I did manage to get away for a few days and we are now refreshed and ready for some fun!

Let's cut to the chase and talk about this weekend and our Great British Pub Beer Festival. Beer, music, great food and even hymns on Sunday evening, what more could we ask for.
And even better news...
All Real Ales £2.50 a pint
All Ciders and Perries £3 a pint
Including our Festival Pint!
It all starts on Saturday 26th and continues until closing on Sunday 27th September. We will be celebrating all of our local greats, serving as host to over 20 different Real Ales, Ciders and Pear Ciders. All sourced from Kent and Sussex and as you know we have a great amount of experience when it comes to Real Ales & Ciders, as we were proud to win Mid Kent CAMRA Pub of the Year in 2007 & 2008 Festival Pint - Three for the price of One!
To ensure you can taste as many as possible we will be introducing our 'Festival Pint'.
Each glass measures 1/3 of a pint and you get 3 glasses on a wooden tray. This gives you the chance to sample 3 ales, ciders and perries of your choice all for the price of 1 pint. Of course we will still be serving traditional pint and half pint measures and if you find something you really like you can always take it away in a 2 pint Hopper.
If you cannot decide which to sample first you can always try with a 25ml taster cup free of charge.
Whilst you are sitting back and tantalising your taste buds you can also enjoy food from our seasonal 'Festival Menu', which is all sourced from local suppliers and home cooked.

There's also live music throughout the weekend, so we expect to see you all dancing and joining in with:

As always, we will have our regular ales, plus a great selection of guest ales enabling you to choose from over 20 different brews. There's also a special local fine food menu prepared just for the festival. We hope that you can join us for what will be a fun weekend for any ale, cider and food connoisseur. Also entertaining you on the day we will have our local band of Morris Men and live music with:

Geoffrey Davison will be knocking out traditional hymns as though his life depended on it. So let our cups (and glasses) runneth over!'

Making their debut at The Bull, The Blue Devils were formed about 11 months ago and are one of those rare bands that occasionally surface who play more than just the usual Blue's standards. They play blues, swing, cajun, soul, rock'n'roll, folk ballads, classic pop songs and good time bar room roots music... plus their own classic material. Definitely something for everyone!

Straight 6
The outstanding Straight 6 are back by popular demand. A superb local covers band performing a constantly evolving play list. The band currently has between 50 and 60 rock, soul and R&B songs they can perform at any given gig. The list is varied and ranges from old Howlin Wolf songs to The Zutons and Valerie - all of them popular, up tempo and chosen to get the crowd going. If you are looking for an evening of upbeat music to get you on your feet, come and see Straight 6 at The Bull we can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Stuart has recently joined our team. Hailing from Sussex his hobbies include fishing and shooting, he is a country man through and through..
Stuart was head chef at 'The Swan at The Vineyard' when it was awarded best pub restaurant in the South East
Stuart is unique in that he does not have one particular signature dish but prefers to put his name to anything from a hearty rabbit casserole to a delicate salmon mousse.
Our diets are already out the window because Stuart keeps making mouth watering dishes that we just have to keep trying!
