There's prizes to be won... starting with a free glass or wine or pint of beer for the best joke of the month or there's the chance to win a free bottle of wine to accompany your next meal by simply forwarding The Bulletin to a friend. Eating At The Bull

As the spring rolls into summer our menu also blossoms with seasonal changes. To continue supporting local suppliers we are introducing new local produce and even tastier treats.
 
Lisa's homemade treacle tart is flying out of the kitchen and is a delicious end to your meal, or pop in and try a slice with a cup of coffee for just £2.50. 
 
 
Cream Teas
This month we are introducing Cream Teas. enjoy two juicy currant scones served warm with whipped cream and local jam together with a pot of tea, (English, Breakfast, Earl Grey, Decaffeinated or Herbal).
 All for £3.95 daily!
 
Chef's Recommendations
For June Chef has selected a delicious three course meal with produce from local suppliers and all home made to order. 
 
Romney Marsh Lambs Liver Pate with Mint and Rosemary Jelly made by Hannah in Benenden served with Warm Crusty Bread.

Rye Bay Mackerel Fillets set on Green Pesto Mashed Morghew Park Potatoes with Buttered Local Asparagus Spears
 
Lisa's Delicious Warm Treacle Tart served with a Dollop of Vanilla Whipped Cream

delicious Gooseberry notes and a crisp dry finish. (Lucy's favourite!)

Free Carvery for Comments...

Over the last month we have run a free prize draw for the chance to win a mouth watering carvery for two, in return for your comments. This month's winner has been notified and we congratulate him.
 
 
 
We received hundreds of customer comments and we thank you for your support and kind words. 
 
To continue to improve our service, we will address all the comments. So without any hesitation here are a few...

All comments regarding Lisa's treacle tart have been noted and we will ask her to make more!
 
And gentlemen Mark has always and will always support the same football team!
 
But, on a more serious note and as a result of our customer's comments:
  • There are now two choices of house red to cater for all palettes.
  • More homemade puddings have now been added to the menu and we will endeavor to ensure that we will not run out of our delicious desserts again.
  • We are looking into alternative procedures for the carvery to decrease the chance of an occasional delay. 

Please continue to forward your comments and talk to us when you visit. We will endeavour to continue making our customers experiences as enjoyable as possible.

Exclusive Entry to Local Attraction!
For customers of The Bull  we are delighted to offer entry to one of Kent's finest yet least known gems, Hole Park Gardens, just 1 mile from the pub. Family owned by the Barham family for nearly 100 years these beautiful and extensive gardens are worth a visit throughout the seasons. Please ask for a brochure at the bar.
 
The gardens are open every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday afternoon, but customers at the Bull are welcome to go on any afternoon. If unattended please place your entry fee of £5.00 (children 50p) in the honesty box at the front door and take a guide and escape into one of Kent's finest gardens, away from the crowds. We feel you will not be disappointed.

June sees the introduction of  
"Loyal to The Bull" to run between
4pm and 7pm, Monday to Friday.  
 
Members will receive a loyalty card (kept behind the bar) and after your fifth pint, or glass of wine bought during the allocated times you will get the next one free. Plus, you will also get a free drink on your birthday.

Laura returned from Gran Canaria 18 months ago after 7 years of managing bars on the island. Now firmly established in Benenden Laura is very much part of the family at The Bull. Laura enjoys travelling and has a passion for animals, especially wild animals. Laura was lucky enough to take a trip to South Africa a few months ago as a volunteer on a safari.
 
Laura is planning to return to education this September but will stay with us on a part time basis.Laura is a great asset to The Bull, whatever the weather or whatever the mood you can guarantee you will be greeted with a smile!
