Ignite Lansing Returns with 3.0!
Ignite Lansing, the acclaimed networking event, returns on March 5 and will take place at the historic Knapp's building in downtown Lansing. Digital Active Online is a proud sponsor of Ignite Lansing.
The first two events were sold-out successes and March's event likely will be as well. The Ignite format features a series of presentations, limited to five minutes and 15 slides. The presentations are quirky, fun, and fast-paced. Ignite Lansing 3.0 will be part of a global Ignite Week. The first week of March will feature an Ignite event in 65 cities on 6 continents.

Adobe Browser Lab for Web Development
 Adobe, makers of the ubiquitous PDF file format, have launched a tool we have found to be a huge asset in developing websites. The online tool allows you to preview a website in the following browsers and operating systems.  - Firefox 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5

Buildtech, LTD Expands Property Management System Lansing-based developer, Buildtech, LTD, is expanding their property management system developed by Digital Active Online. Buildtech will utilize the ActiveOffice Building Management system with their historic  renovation of the Durant building in downtown Flint, Michigan. The renovated building will be a mixed-use property combining commercial space with residential lofts. As the downtown community includes the University of Michigan Flint campus and Mott Community College, a waiting list is already in place for tenants. The building is the former Durant Hotel, a showplace during the heyday of the automotive industry; the project is now a focal point in the rebirth of the downtown. Buildtech currently uses the ActiveOffice Building Management web-based software in managing the renovated Arbaugh building in Lansing, Michigan. The former department store in downtown Lansing combines commercial space with 44 residential lofts.
The ActiveOffice Building Management system includes: - Automatic email alerts for upcoming vacancies and maintenance issues
- Reporting tools for revenue tracking, rent rolls and tenant history
- Invoices can be generated and stored
- Checks can be scanned and stored for both administrative and tenant access

Beachtowns.org and Michigan Travel Ideas
 The 2010 Michigan Travel Ideas features a prominent back-cover advertisement from Beachtowns.org. The annual magazine, produced through Midwest Living, has a circulation of over one million and has given the beach towns of western Michigan plenty of attention in past years. Digital Active Online developed the Beachtowns website, a lively and fun site featuring videos and original music promoting the historic West Michigan Pike. Digital Active also provided the artwork for the Michigan Travel Ideas back cover design. With the website address boldly displayed on the back cover, Beachtowns.org has already seen a spike in visitors. "We are pleased to participate in the Travel Ideas program again as it has always been a huge asset in driving folks to our website," said Lisa Shanley, Executive Director of the South Haven Visitors Bureau. Beachtowns is a cooperative effort of nine towns on Lake Michigan. The Michigan Travel Ideas magazine is distributed throughout the midwest.
