2010 Beachtowns' Ad to Reach One Million
Michigan Beachtowns recently looked to Digital Active Online to create a full page ad for the back cover of the upcoming 2010 Michigan Travel Ideas magazine scheduled for distribution the first quarter of next year. Due to high demand, the magazine will print one million copies for a second year in a row, a significant increase from past years.
The ad uses a now famous photo provided by Michigan.org which was also utilized in billboard advertising by Michigan.org in New York's Times Square. The ad also includes elements of the beachtowns.org web site, which was developed by Digital Active Online. With the high profile ad placement and traffic to the web site, the Michigan Beachtowns are already gearing up for a prosperous 2010 tourism season.

Digital Active Online Joins the Outdoor Advertising Association of Illinois.
With years of experience with developing secure corporate
intranet web sites for Outdoor Advertising companies, Digital Active Online has been
virtually embedded in the industry. In an effort
to stay abreast of the issues facing the industry, Digital Active
Online has joined the Outdoor Advertising Association of Illinois
(OAAI).
The industry is poised to change
dramatically as outdoor advertising grows into something much more
dynamic with the now popular LED billboards. Within seconds, an LED display can change from an advertisement
to an "Amber Alert" on a missing child or a severe weather alert. Digital Active Online will continue to provide the
collaborative tools connecting outdoor advertising companies with their
staff and customers. We look forward to attending the annual OAAI
conference in Chicago in January, 2010.

Liquid Web Opens New Data Center
Strategic Hosting Partner Unveils Cloud Computing Facility
The Lansing-based web hosting company, Liquid Web, has opened a new $80 million facility in southwest Lansing. Digital Active Online utilizes the Liquid Web hosting services with our ActiveOffice web applications. The new, 90,000-square-feet data center has a capacity for 25,000 servers and will offer a new cloud computing platform developed by Liquid Web. An informational video from the grand opening has been posted on YouTube. The video features Liquid Web's founder and CEO, Matt Hill and a customer testimonial from Digital Active Online's, Todd Ross.
The grand opening ceremonies highlighted the amazing capacity of the facility and possibility of 600 new jobs to the area. Liquid Web has now become the largest hosting provider in the state. The new facility is a great story for both the Lansing area and the state, as the technology sector of Michigan continues to grow. Digital Active Online has enjoyed tremendous success with Liquid Web's hosting services and the new facility offers a cloud computing platform perfect for a number of projects in development.

South Haven Accommodations Get Mapped!
When
South Haven Vistors' Bureau planned their website, a key
concern was to be able to communicate to a wide audience while offering
detailed information within the site's accommodations listings. The website, southhaven.org, had to connect potential visitors to
these accommodations, in and around the South Haven area. Digital Active
Online responded by developing an application that provides detailed information, mapping functions and the ability to create
lists based on the type of accommodation selected.
Using Google
mapping, the application automatically captures the latitude and
longitude of the accommodation from Google Maps and stores it in the
database. The information is then associated with the details of the
business allowing users of the site to sort and choose the type of
place they would like to stay. The business' information is displayed,
including thumbnail pictures, and getting directions are just a click away. Now
when you plan on visiting the South Haven area (and we hope you do),
you can create lists based on the various types of accommodations: bed
and breakfasts, cottages, condos, vacation homes, hotels, motels or inns. The
description of the location, with contact information, pictures,
addresses and rates are accessible from the map view. Add them to the "Itinerary"
feature, and viola! Your vacation planning is a breeze.
