New Server Upgrade
Digital Active has added a new dedicated server optimized to host ActiveOffice, ActiveCMS and ActiveApps. The new server is in the LiquidWeb data center located in Lansing, Michigan. It features RAID backup, off-site backup, and premium Tier-1 bandwidth, ensuring minimal latency and fast connections. LiquidWeb currently serves more than 10,000 clients in over 100 countries around the world. The new server will ensure our applications will continue to be "Simple, Secure and Always there."


ActiveApp: Itinerary Manager
The South Haven Visitors Bureau has been ecstatic with the results from their site developed by Digital Active. In a time when travel budgets are tight, South Haven has gained a competitive edge and increased services provided to visitors to southhaven.org. by adding a new ActiveApp. The site's Itinerary Manager allows a visitor to create an itinerary from events, restaurants, attractions, and wineries. Once the visitor's itinerary is complete, they can then create a print friendly version or email the list, with notes, to themself and others.

Driving Tourism to Beachtowns.org
Redesign continues to increase traffic worldwide.
Beachtowns.org Home pageThe launch of the new Michigan Beachtowns website (beachtowns.org) has been a great success. The website is the online presence of Michigan's Beachtowns Inc., an association of nine lakeshore convention & visitor's bureaus. With information and links to each of the beach towns' websites, beachtowns.org has increased traffic to the member sites and received a tremendous amount of traffic from interested tourists from over 33 countries.

West Michigan Pike Video
The site also celebrates the historic West Michigan Pike, a roadway completed in 1922 that was the first continuous paved road from Chicago to Mackinaw City and opened west Michigan to automobile tourism. The site features slideshows, music, and videos. The videos featured on the website are a montage of images, both nostalgic and modern, set to original music. Also featured is a radio spot from the Pure Michigan campaign narrated by actor and Michigan native Tim Allen. With captivating photographs by the Internationally acclaimed Vince Musi, the site entertains as it informs tourists or those reminiscing of the golden days of automobile travel. In partnership with the State of Michigan, Beachtowns has launched advertising campaigns in Chicago, Indianapolis, and Michigan.  Digital Active is proud to have created the website for Michigan Beachtowns and hopes travelers will visit beachtowns.org and the Beachtowns along the West Michigan Pike.

RCG Expands with Best Practices
Community driven tool increases knowledge base.

With the auto industry becoming even more competitive, the need for great customer service has never been more critical. Retail Consulting Group (RCG) has worked with automotive manufacturers to increase customer satisfaction using online tools created by Digital Active. RCG is now expanding their services to the manufacturers and dealers by adding Best Practices to their current online system. With Best Practices, dealers are able to interact with a dynamic library of best practices for automotive dealerships. Not only does the system allow the dealers to view, search and sort best practices, it also allows them to add their own customer service tips to the library. The system also includes a Dealer Assessment Tool as a measurement of their performance. The tools allow RCG to create custom assessment surveys that include photos and audio files. The Best Practices system also includes:
  • Contact Reports: tracks all contact with the dealerships
  • Action Plans: allows RCG and dealers to create and manage planning for implementing Best Practices
  • Discussion Forums: dealers within a manufacturer's group can participate in threaded discussions and sign-up for email alerts whenever topics are updated
  • Cyber Poll: enables RCG the ability to create polls which gather dealer input on industry issues
  • Search: allows the search for specific issues or concerns
The interactive tools allow dealers to contribute to the overall knowledge base and create a sense of community.
