Digital Active Launches MCCA Website
ActiveOffice Tools Create Efficiencies for the Michigan Community College Association
The Michigan Community College Assocation (MCCA) is the primary advocate for Michigan's twenty-eight public community colleges. MCCA provides leadership on issues facing the collective group while promoting the value of community colleges. The www.mcca.org web site serves as an information portal allowing members to interact with other members and the association.
The Digital Active Content Management System (ActiveCMS) allows authorized MCCA staff to make changes to the site, including adding new pages, managing event listings, and tracking event registration.
The ActiveOffice system also allows authorized members from the 28 different colleges to manage content for their specific college. These member college Admins can also make updates to their contact information, add events and upload photographs for display within animated graphics.
"We are very pleased with the new and improved website," said Mike Hansen, President of the MCCA. "The overall feel and online tools created by Digital Active will allow us to communicate with our members and other stakeholders at a higher level."

Ignite Lansing
Technology Innovation Center hosts Energetic Event
Ignite Lansing held its first event on Friday, April 17th at the East Lansing Technology Innovation Center (TIC). Digital Active, a proud tenant of the TIC, would like to thank Jeff Smith, Amy Schlusler and the entire TIC staff for a fantastic job! The event was sold out with over 240 attendees and featured a series of diverse presentations in a quick & powerful format.
What a wonderful mix of Greater Lansing... from techies to creatives and everything in between! Each presenter was limited to 5 minutes. The presentations were insightful, entertaining and humorous while the fast-paced format kept the crowd's attention. The presentations ranged from "How to Schmooze Like a Professional and Look Good Doing It!" to "Visual Communications" and "Urban Agriculture". Contests and awards rounded out the night. The immediate feedback was extraordinary leaving attendees asking "When is the next Ignite"? and "How can I be a presenter"?

Automated Password Manager
Our Automated Password Manager allows a trouble-free way to administer system access for users. When creating a new user, the System Administrator can choose to check "Send Random Password" which triggers the system
to email the new user a randomly generated password with a link to gain access. The user is then requested to
change the password upon his initial login. All systems also include a "Forgot Password" link allowing users to regain access without assistance from System Administrators. Small feature, big time saver!
