CSR: Making it Easier for Business

Canadian businesses know that responsible business conduct gives them a competitive advantage. Industry Canada has launched two new corporate social responsibility (CSR) management tools for business:
Governance of Sustainability and Marketing for Sustainability.

Governance for Sustainability is a practical tool which provides guidance to boards of directors and senior management on a best practice approach for CSR governance and integration into corporate structures.

Marketing for Sustainability is a practical tool to help Canadian retailers and producers of consumer products better understand, plan for
and capitalize on sustainability communication at point of purchase.

 Waste Diversion Survey

Ontario's Auditor General is conducting a review of the Ministry of the Environment; specifically, it is examining the effectiveness of the ministry's non-hazardous waste management program.

This review may have implications for the broader business community.

The purpose of this Ontario Chamber of Commerce survey is to seek the business community's input on what, if any, obstacles or challenges exist in their own waste diversion programs, or whether such programs exist in the business.

Please complete this survey by Monday, May 31 at 4:00 pm.
