Fall is finally here! We're gearing up for an exciting month here and we are unveiling our new vehicles, the Chevrolet Orlando and the Sonic. See below! In anticipation of Chevrolet's 100 anniversary next month, there has been quite a buzz in the media about its history. We have some interesting pieces of information to share with you this month!

Celebrating 100 Years on November 3
What do the next 100 years hold for Chevrolet?
Chevrolet has always been a leader in design, innovation, and new technology. The Volt is a recent example of this leadership. These next 100 years will redefine transportation, and will continute to build automobiles that will exceed those transportation needs.

"Best Chevy Ever" Results
One hundred years ago, race car driver and engineer Louis Chevrolet and the former head of General Motors, William C. Durant, co-founded Chevrolet.
The fledging automaker was subsequently acquired by GM in 1918, mainly to sell a lineup of mainstream vehicles to take on Henry Ford's wildly successful Model T Ford. As they say, the rest is history.
Over the next century, Chevrolet would become GM's top-selling brand, and one of the most famous car brands around the world.
And now, as part of the ongoing Chevrolet Centennial celebrations, GM held a contest and asked: "What was the greatest Chevrolet ever?"
Garnering 25,058 out of 124,368 total votes, the most popular choice was the 1969 Camaro, just beating out the 1970 Chevelle SS. Runners-up included the 1957 Bel Air and the 1953 Corvette - the original 'Vette.

GM Introduces Industry's First Front Centre Air Bag
General Motors is introducing the industry's first front centre air bag - and inflatable restraint designed to protect drivers and front passengers from far-side impact crashes where the affected occupant is on the non-struck side of the vehicle.
It will be introduced in Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse in the 2013 model year.

GM Stays in Top Spot for Auto Innovation
Ranked by the Patent Board, GM is named number 1 amongst 184 companies. It is the third consecutive quarter that the company has remained in the top spot.
What is it ranked on? The Patent Board analyzes intellectual property performance across 17 industries and determines the leader in each sector based on measurements that include the number of patents, impact on the industry and technology and science strength.
GM's first patent was awarded 90 years ago. Today that number exceeds 30,000.
