Wise Words For Winter Wonderland Weather -
1) Take care of your windshield: Make sure your vehicle has antifreeze rated for the coldest weather.
2) Check your wiper blades. Cold weather can make blades brittle, so it's a good idea to change your windshield wipers every year before winter begins, or purchase winter rated windshield wipers.
3) Keep a snow brush and ice scraper in your vehicle starting now! (See our Parts Dept)
4) Although all-season tires can be used in a moderate winter environment, winter tires provide the best cold weather performance below 7°C. Cold weather reduces tire pressure, so check your tire pressure often. Learn more about tires here.
5) Just in case: Keep a blanket and a snow shovel in your vehicle, and maybe some extra windshield washer fluid and road salt in the trunk as well.
6) Cold weather affects battery efficiency. Most cold-weather breakdowns occur because batteries aren't delivering full cranking power. Our GM Goodwrench technicians can check your battery and make sure battery cables are corrosion-free.
7) You can always ask us for a multi-point vehicle inspection, which includes checks on wiper blades, tires, fluids and more.
