A magical Christmas night brought to life...
On Christmas Eve, Godfather Drosselmeyer has arrived with gifts of marvel and enchantment for his young godchildren. Dancing dolls, a wonder tree, beautiful books and a handsom Nutcracker doll. Young Clara falls in love with this bewitching doll. When the clock strikes midnight, something magical happens--all of the toys come to life. Clara is swept away on an incredible journey.
Come see this astonishing story by E.T.A. Hoffman come to life on the big stage of Rowan University as the Tricia Sloan Dance Center presents "The Nutcracker".
The 7th annual production of the classic Christmas Ballet is being at Rowan University on Fri. Dec.18 @ 8:00 PM, Sat. Dec. 19 @ 2:00 & 8:00 PM, & Sun. Dec. 20 @ 2:00 PM. All seats are $20 with plenty of free parking. There are group rates available for organizations. There is also a special back stage tour for Girl Scout Troops!
The Nutcracker is a wonderful way to kick off the holidays with your family and friends. It is also a great introduction to our young students here at TSDC to their first live theatrical experience.

October is a fun and exciting month for our pre school dancers as the theme for the month will shift from "Teddy Bears" to all things "Pumpkin". Some of the new songs they will be singing and dancing to in class are: Pick A Pumpkin, Patty Patty Pumpkin Patch, Down on Grandpa's Farm, Eensy Weensy Spider and Bear Hunt. As usual class will conclude with the Good Bye Song.
We are very pleased with all of our tiny dancers who are doing a super job in dance class. |
 Dance Company Appearance
The Senior Dance Co. kicked off the season by performing at the Wenonah Arts Festival. The Memorial Presbyterian Church hosted the 1st Annual Wenonah Arts Festival on Sat. Sept. 26. This event will be held each year to celebrate the arts and showcase the abundance of local talent. Proceeds from this event will help defray the cost of the repairs to the stained glass windows in the church sanctuary.
Thank you to all the girls who helped make this event a great success for the church. |
