When our entire day is consumed with life at work, with family, or doing chores and activities, we lack the rest that our bodies need to recharge our systems. Summer is the season when everything is blossoming and expanding. It is a time when plants and animals are living up to their maximum potential, guided by the fire element or, as we know it, the sun.

What's the world to do if we can't use antibiotics for commonly treated ear, nose, throat, respiratory infections, STD's, UTI's or tuberculosis? Many of us have come to take antibiotic pills or the bottle of our children's "pink medicine" for granted. Due to the detrimental effects from the misuse and overuse of antibiotics, more infections like gonorrhea will soon be added to the "incurable" list in modern medicine. Discovered in 1928, antibiotics were once seen as a hero of modern medicine; however, they may eventually be seen as one of the worst things to come out of medical science...
