Dear Friends and Patients,
Tomorrow, October 19th, I will be celebrating 31 years in private practice. I want you to know that it has been a privilege to serve you and your health care needs.
I hope you enjoy our weekly motivational e-mail messages and they inspire you to make subtle changes in your life. What I've learned after 31 years is that how you live your life determines your overall health. So if you want to be healthy and live longer, here are five habits that you need to apply:
1. Exercise regularly.
2. Sleep 7-9 hours a night.
3. Eat as many foods without labels that you can.
4. Be aware of your posture, whether you are sitting, standing or sleeping.
5. Emotionally, be as open, loving and flexible as you can be.
While this doesn't seem very glamorous, adopting these simple - but sometimes difficult - habits is likely to extend the duration (and improve the quality) of your life, too. Actually, none of these cost you any money, with a minimal investment in time and energy, to make your life much better.
Even though you may have come to our office for pain relief, our real goal and mission is to help you and support you to live a healthier lifestyle and make better health care decisions.
Thank you for continuing to be wonderful patients and friends and I commend you for taking charge of your health.
