Dreaming and Achievement

Here are 4 things you can do to improve your behavior so you can transition from your dreams to actually achieving more happiness and fulfillment.

Step #1: FACE WHAT IS...  What we tend to do is we look, we see and we avoid.  Anything we don't face we create continuation with, or in other words procrastination.  So what we need to do is stop, take a deep breath, and be honest about where we are in our lives.  This is very challenging for most of us.

Step #2: REDESIGNING WHERE YOU'VE BEEN... It's not about looking at yesterday in figuring out what we did wrong. It's about looking at yesterday and finding out what we did right, and reframe it into a new picture.  What we tend to do is look at the picture of our life, and say we don't like that picture, so we change the frame and keep the picture. What we need to do is take the picture and REDESIGN that picture of ourselves.

Step #3: STRENGHTEN WHAT MAKES YOU GOOD...  We put so much emphasis on what we're doing wrong, that we weaken what we do right.  We need to reverse this process. We need to strengthen what makes us good, because as we strengthen that, it increases our own clarity and confidence, which in essence calms us down. When we work on our weaknesses our strengths are diminishing.  If we come from a place of strength, clarity and calmness, our weaknesses simply become something that you can turn into a strength. Therefore we are then able to work on our weaker areas from a place of power, rather than feeling bad about ourselves.

Step #4: REACH OUT TO PEOPLE WHO CAN MAKE YOU BETTER...This is also a very challenging step.  What we all need to help and support us in our lives are coaches, mentors, doctors, and loved ones who are there NOT to show you what you are doing wrong, but to ENCOURAGE YOU TO IMPROVE EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING.  If we reach out to the wrong people we may be going in the wrong direction and if you reach out to the right people, your chances of being happier and healthier are so much greater.

So, take these actions steps and see all of the good you actually have in your life.  As we always talk about, who you are and how you deal with the stresses and challenges of life will determine how you feel.  It all begins with your belief.  If you think you can, you can.... If you think you can't, you can't.
