As I mentioned last month, the small business arena is in a state of flux. In addition to recent governmental focus on small business, it appears that the corporate world is now also taking note and beginning to assist the small business sector. For instance, a major corporation that is jumping on the small business bandwagon is Office Depot. They are testing a scholarship program to provide funding to those individuals who want to participate in the SCORE SmartSTART Advanced series of workshops. ENight is a one-stop "Mecca" for Springs entrepreneurs to speak with various local organizations that are here to support entrepreneurs, be they start-ups or already in business. The event will include several complimentary 15-minute one-on-one sessions with local experts (lawyers, CPAs, social media and those with technical expertise), two educational seminars (Social Media and How SCORE Can Help), and you can also learn from the guest speaker, Laura McGuire. Laura is an entrepreneur and direct marketing expert and will conclude the eNight event with a talk sharing her experiences from a well-seasoned, veteran entrepreneur's perspective.
