| From the Bridge:
We are more thana full week into summer and although the weather has not been totally cooperative (what else in new in Central New York?) the business of summer at the club is in full swing. We have already hosted two big regattas, the Lasers on May 30 and the Lightning Flash Bash on June 20 & 21. Both were well attended - everyone loves to come to Willow Bank as all of our fleets put on great events.
Members coming down to the club for Father's Day brunch were entertained by trying to find the Lightnings in the Fog. The leeward mark was just off of our NW mooring buoy and we were told that the boats had rounded the mark, but they couldn't be seen from the clubhouse. Thanks to everyone who worked on Father's Day Brunch - the food was terrific and what a great way to celebrate Fathers!
Sailing and swimming lessons started on Monday, June 29th. It's too late to sign up for the first session, but later sessions still have room. Check on the website for forms and more information.
WBYC Sailing instructors are making themselves available this summer to give adult lessons to anyone interested in improving their sailing skills. Our instructors are all US Sailing trained and certified and have experience in a wide variety boats and teaching all different sailing levels. Look at the club or on the website for more information.
See you at the club,
